When the song "Fell on Black Days" by Soundgarden is playing, we all intuitively know what Chris Cornell was singing about. There are times in our lives where the light feels like it is going out.
This series is an exploration into understanding darkness as more than feeling depressed, or sad, or lost. The biblical framework for darkness is profoundly illuminating. Rather than fear, avoid, or deny our darkest experiences, I will offer a wider context to understand our dark days and hopefully allow you to "be with" darkness, to be taught by darkness, and to understand our human proclivity toward it.
Darkness can be painful and diminish our lives if it is not understood. The framework I offer will reorient you toward True North and you'll be back in the light just as dawn comes each morning.
