355- DECEIVE

“Do you think you know yourself? Most of us do. So, imagine our shock to discover we are all living in self-deceit.

In today’s podcast, post, and video I explore how the entire world has become deceived. I’ll reveal how every problem is a truth problem and how our need for validation traps us in a surface level existence, which promises freedom but never delivers.

Join me now as we probe our own self-deception and I point us to the deconstruction project which leads us to authenticity in the Truth.

350- FLOW

“Is there really such a thing as a state of flow? Has science really unlocked the secret to mental focus or higher performance?

If we follow the trajectory of modern “so-called” experts in flow and performance, then we enter a marketplace where we can exchange our self for a super-self and our life for a super-life. We’re told that flow is a heightened conscious state where we gain superpowers allowing us to outperform others and rise to the top.

What if true flow isn’t derived from more effort and output? Join me now as we see beyond the pseudo flow of performance, and learn that true flow sets us on a course, not for doing, and not even for being, but for seeing?

347-UNIVERSE

“Is the Universe an unintelligent, random, amalgamation of elements and time as science tells us it is? What about those who ascribe some form of spirituality to the Universe?

In today’s podcast, post and video, I will reveal how both of these perspectives end in either irrationality or idolatry.

Join me now as we see beyond our triggers, and beyond the universe, to discover how to repatriate the word “God” and why it’s the most rational and worthy term for the power which is behind, in and through everything.

341-The Twenty-Seventh

“Does spiritual awareness really make a difference in our lives?”

Today we return to our ongoing series of Psalms Greatest Hits with a look at the Twenty Seventh Psalm. In our hurried lives of distraction, it’s common for modern people to ignore, dismiss, or avoid stillness and reflection upon our spiritual condition. This enlarges the amount of emotional pain that we must suppress leaving many of us with a sense of anger or despair just below the surface of our lives.

Join me now as we see beyond everything and follow David’s pointing finger toward the unseen world. We will take a few tips from David and perhaps we can become honest like him and allow all the subterranean reality to bubble to the surface, where we can give it the attention it requires.

338-The Easter Experience

“What is Easter all about? Culturally it’s a huge religious holiday, but is that the real Easter Experience?

In today’s podcast and post we pause from our series to unpack the Easter experience. As usual, this podcast is going to take us in a completely different direction from everything else going on this morning.

Join me now, if you can, to be still, quiet and not clinging to anything, and you will see beyond everything, beyond the distraction and noise, and array of thoughts and emotions. Perhaps if you do, you may have a genuine Easter experience.

329-Famous Last Words 5 -I am the Way Truth and Life

How do you understand Jesus statement: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except by me.”?

In today’s podcast and post we examine one of the most quoted passages in the bible and reveal how Church history has got this wrong. Imagine our surprise to discover that Jesus’ claim of exclusivity is not unto the Christian religion.

Join me now as we continue our exploration of Jesus’ famous last words, as these open a portal to a dimension of seeing and understanding which brings all things together instead of dividing them into tribal religion.

322-The Advent from Samaria

What do you know about Samaria? How did such a city come to believe Jesus was the savior of the world?”

In today’s podcast and post we camp for another day in the story of the Samaritan woman. This time, I will dive into biblical history so that we can all see the message which lies hidden in with the plain sight of racial and religious tension.

Join me now as I reveal how Samaria is alive and well in our modern world and how it provides a path to peace which doesn’t require conversion to nor abandonment of any religion.

320- The Eighty-Fourth

What does it mean to spend a day in the courts of the Lord?”

Today we continue or ongoing series of Psalms Greatest Hits with an exploration of the 84th Psalm. This famous little song has been used in modern worship pieces because it draws us into a value proposition and an evaluation of our own priorities.

Join me now as we explore the Psalm, not of David, but of the sons of Korah, and how that back story allows a richer experience and contemplation for all who can perceive this inner longing and sense of despair.

319-14-The Emerging City

What is the “City of God” and where is it?

Some of you might call this place Heaven, or imaginary, or symbolic, or spiritual. Others are convinced this city is in a dimension far, far away from this broken world. In Today’s podcast and post, we arrive at the conclusion of our study in Hebrews with a look a city which is emerging right before our eyes.

Join me now as we see a city which lies beyond everything, which is now and not fully here, and which is community comprised of all people’s, tribes, tongues and religions, which has only one rule, and the only condition for entry is Truth.

318- Kierkegaard at Thanksgiving

If you could have Soren Kierkegaard over for Thanksgiving, what do you suppose he would say?”

In todays special Thanksgiving podcast and post, I use a little creative license to describe three levels of thanks which I have expunged from Kierkegaard’s work; “A Sickness Unto Death.” Strap on your existential thinking cap, because the turkey day conversation is going to the deep end.

Join me now as this post reveals just how far the modern mind has drifted in its ability to comprehend, yet alone appreciate, the thoughts of this philosopher. Perhaps it will perk your interest in rediscovering ideas for which the modern world has forgotten.
